Why Sullivan?

Sullivan University is accredited by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). SACSCOC is one of the eight regional agencies that accredit U.S. colleges and universities at the institutional level. The baccalaureate Nursing program at Sullivan University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Why earn your BSN degree at Sullivan University? Because the world is changing fast, and having a BSN is becoming much more important to a successful nursing career. For example, the Commission on Magnet Recognition now expects all nurse managers and leaders to have their BSN. And by 2020, the Institute of Medicine recommends that 80% of all RNs have a minimum of a BSN degree.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing indicates that an RN to BSN Program offers a timely bridge for ADN and diploma prepared nurses to develop stronger clinical reasoning and analytical skills.

In addition, some states are considering the possibility that a nurse must hold a BSN or higher degree to obtain or renew their RN license. Some healthcare organizations are also considering a pay differential for BSN graduates.
