Libby Allen is a culinary instructor in the National Center for Hospitality Studies for Sullivan University’s Lexington campus. She comes to Sullivan with over 30 years of experience in the food service industry.

Having an entrepreneurial focus, Libby owned and operated Allen Catering, the food service operation at the Lexington Tennis Club. She developed a following of customers that led her to create Libby’s on Euclid, a deli with a catering operation. She took her catering and restaurant experience to the University of Kentucky, where she was a unit manager for two of their most popular food service units and the catering manager prior to becoming the assistant director. Libby also had the unique opportunity to be the chef in residence at Woodford Reserve Distillery.

  • Member of the Slow Food Organization
  • Served as a delegate to the International Terra Madre conference in Turin, Italy (2012)
