Mrs. Edds is from Plano, TX. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education specializing in Therapeutics from Texas Tech University. As a Red Raider, she was a charter member of Kappa Delta sorority serving as Vice President. Mrs. Edds graduated with Honor from the Physician Assistant Program at Baylor College of Medicine in 1996. During her time at Baylor, she served as Class President. She gained considerable multi-cultural experience working along the Texas/Mexico border during her training.

After graduation, Mrs. Edds moved east to work in rural health in Summers County, WV living in Hinton, a small railroad community along the New River. Working in rural health without the assistance of computers, the Internet or multiple specialists taught her to rely on her education and training as well as an excellent physician supervisor and mentor.

Moving to Louisville in 2004, Mrs. Edds began working in orthopedics and sports medicine as the first PA hired by a multi-surgeon orthopedic group. She continued in this field until 2014 when she was offered a faculty position with Sullivan University’s Physician Assistant Program. Prior to joining Sullivan, she has been a guest lecturer for Bellarmine University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and the University of Kentucky’s PA Program. She lives in Oldham County with her husband, Nathan, two daughters, two German Shepherds and one guinea pig.
