Dr. James Maxwell is a Professor in the Graduate program at Sullivan University in Lexington, Kentucky. He holds a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Indiana State University, Ph.D. in Management from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri, a M.B.A. and B.S. in Management from Maryville University, St. Louis, Missouri. His teaching, research, business management consultation, and publishing activities are in the areas of Strategic Management, Technology Assessment and Forecasting, Management, Entrepreneurship, Engineering Cost Analysis, Technology Management,  and Competitive Intelligence.

Dr. Maxwell is a Ewing Marion Kauffman Fellow and a Board of Director member of the Sigma Beta Delta International Honors Society. He is also an Editorial-board member to the following Journals: Advanced Management Journal; Academy of Management Journal; Business Process Journal – Emerald Publishing; The Journal of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (JTMAE); and The Academy of Strategic Management Journal (ASJM).
